Everyone embarks on a journey filled with highs and lows, and when these experiences are seamlessly intertwined, they form a beautiful melody called life. The irony is that the only person who can prevent you from fully living is yourself. If you were to ask Joshua about his life, he might say it was challenging but ultimately successful until 2014. After that, it took a downturn but eventually became very prosperous.
In 2014, Joshua faced a life-changing event when he was involved in a train accident, which left him paralysed from the waist down due to a D12 – L1 Complete Spinal Cord Injury (SCI). As a result, he lost all sensation and function below the waist. Additionally, three fingers of his left hand were amputated as they were crushed in the accident.
Life can sometimes push you to your limits, press you down, and present you with formidable challenges. How you respond to these adversities depends on three key factors: hope, inspiration, and purpose.
- Who is your source of hope when everything seems lost?
– Who inspires you to live a fulfilling life?
– Who gives your life purpose?
These three factors, along with their questions, ultimately lead to one name, and that name is Jesus Christ.
If Joshua had allowed his disability to dominate his mind, he might have felt without purpose. However, he found his purpose in Jesus Christ, who empowered him to become more than a conqueror. This transformation allowed Joshua to embrace a new life filled with hope, dreams, faith, and the celebration of the gift of grace.
Today, Joshua is a successful communicator, evangelist, and singer-songwriter.
