People become invincible when they are determined to defy the odds, Not just any, but the odds that are particularly staged to stop them from doing or acheiving things that they are passionate about!
Long Story, Short Poetry (Maybe!)
Six MSW students, one mission,
To serve fellow humans with love and flair!
One college, one organization,
Too careless that they set up hurdles, a difficult layer!
Invincible six went all the way & got the job done but no Glory,
Instead the system is asking the six to be sorry!
For what?
Being persistent and staying together?
Or
Not giving up and crossing the hurdles?
It’s neither of the above!
It’s for exposing the negligence of the system!
It’s for facing the odds and being consistent!
It’s for holding their grounds, fighting for 30 days and coming back home with an impressive resume – which says – “Mission Accomplished”.
It’s for sending a direct message to the system, tagged – “On Your Face”, but with a noble gesture!
Picture this –
Unsafe work environment,
Lack of communication,
Unstable processing units,
Messed up authorities,
Still,
The four girls and two boys, six in all,
Spend thirty days in a village,
Fulfilling their assigned duties,
Keeping their vow to be a worthy recepient of social work.
None of them had to do it,
None of them had to stay,
None of them owed anything to anybody,
None of them promised anything,
But they vowed to themselves, before this journey of social work even started, that they will “Make a Difference” by “Being a Difference”.
And they were bold and courageous enough,
And they were true and honest to themselves,
To not only stay firm with the decision,
But also complete the task,
Holding hands and watching eachother’s six (funny but true!)
What did they get in return?
Depression, emotional and mental pressure, odd treatment by the system who are now expecting an apology, and much more!
Did they deserve it?
That is not the real question to be asked!
The real questions are,
Did they crack under pressure?
No!
Are they going to stop?
No!
Are they going to keep marching?
Yes!
Why?
Because they are invincible,
they are warriors,
And we know,
“Warriors aren’t trained to retire!”
